Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on June 24, 2026.

This accessibility statement will be reviewed periodically as the campaign continues, to ensure it reflects the current state of the site and campaign materials.

What Web Accessibility Means

An accessible website allows visitors with disabilities to browse with the same ease and independence as everyone else. This is made possible through thoughtful site design, combined with assistive technologies like screen readers, keyboard navigation, and voice input tools.

My Commitment to Accessibility

As someone who has spent the last several years working on accessibility within municipal government, I believe a campaign website should reflect the same standard I advocate for in my professional work. This site is built with the goal of meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, and I am committed to identifying and fixing barriers as they're found. Steps taken include:

  • Setting a clear language tag for the site

  • Maintaining a logical content order across all pages

  • Using clear, consistent heading structures

  • Adding alternative text to images

  • Using color combinations that meet contrast requirements

  • Minimizing unnecessary motion and animation

Accessibility at Campaign Events

Accessibility doesn't stop at the website. Wherever possible, I choose accessible venues for campaign events and all-candidates meetings, and I welcome direct outreach if you require an accommodation to participate, such as materials in an alternate format or support to attend an event in person.

Alternate Formats

If you require campaign materials, including platform documents or printed materials, in an alternate format, please let me know. I will work with you to provide the information in a format that works for you.

Requests, Issues, and Suggestions

If you come across an accessibility barrier on this site, or need help in another format, please reach out to me directly. I welcome feedback on the accessibility of this site and my campaign materials. I aim to respond to all accessibility-related feedback within 5 business days.
